Coach Terms of Service
1. Independent Contractor Relationship
Coaches are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of Trafora. Trafora does not direct or control how you deliver coaching services. You are solely responsible for your own taxes, including self-employment taxes, and Trafora will not withhold any taxes on your behalf. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between you and Trafora.
2. Platform Commission & Payouts
Trafora charges a 15% commission on all bookings made through the platform. When a client books a session, Trafora collects the full payment and remits the remaining 85% to your connected bank account via Stripe. Payouts are typically processed within two business days of a confirmed session. Trafora reserves the right to adjust the commission rate with 30 days’ written notice to active coaches.
Payouts are contingent on completing Stripe’s identity verification and bank account onboarding. Trafora is not responsible for delays caused by Stripe’s processing times or verification requirements.
3. Profile Approval & Platform Access
All coach profiles are subject to review and approval by Trafora before going live on the platform. Trafora reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to approve, request revisions to, or deny any coach profile. Approval of a profile does not guarantee a minimum number of bookings or any level of platform visibility.
Trafora may suspend or remove a coach from the platform at any time for violations of these terms, conduct unbecoming of a professional coach, failure to fulfill booked sessions, or any other reason Trafora deems appropriate in its sole discretion.
4. Coach Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, truthful information in your profile, including credentials, qualifications, and experience
- Honor all sessions booked through the platform and provide reasonable advance notice if cancellation is necessary
- Maintain professional standards of conduct in all interactions with clients
- Not solicit clients to book sessions outside of the Trafora platform in order to avoid the platform commission
- Promptly notify Trafora of any changes to your credentials, licensure, or professional standing that may affect your profile accuracy
- Comply with all applicable laws and professional regulations governing your coaching practice
5. Coaching vs. Therapy Disclaimer
6. Profile Content & Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of any original content you submit to your coach profile (bio, photo, etc.). By submitting profile content, you grant Trafora a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and promote that content for the purpose of operating and marketing the platform, including on trafora.com and in app store listings.
7. Confidentiality
You agree to keep all client information and session content confidential and not to disclose it to any third party without the client’s explicit written consent, except as required by law.
8. Limitation of Liability
Trafora is a technology platform that facilitates connections between coaches and clients. Trafora is not responsible for the quality, outcome, or results of any coaching engagement.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRAFORA’S LIABILITY TO ANY COACH ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL COMMISSIONS PAID TO TRAFORA BY THAT COACH IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
9. Governing Law
This Addendum is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, consistent with the Trafora Terms of Service.
10. Amendments
Trafora may update these Coach Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
